Hello peeps! (Em português embaixo.)

The favourite question people seem to like to ask me wherever I go is “where is home for you?”. Up until now, I’ve been kinda perplexed by the amount of confusion that starts tumbling around in my head every time I get asked this question. Surely, after having moved around so much, this question shouldn’t catch me by surprise? Fitting in? Not my cup of tea. | Se encaixar? Não é a minha praia.

Yeah, I always knew I didn’t really fit in. And not just because I was, for all intents and purposes, born without parents. My childhood was full of the type of curiosity I’m sure didn’t come across most kids’ minds at the time. (tradução embaixo)

Growing up in Brazil | Crescer no Brasil

Hello folks! (tradução embaixo)

As the Czech proverb goes,

“You live a new life for every new language you speak. If you know only one language, you live only once.”

Last week, I did something I could not have imagined myself doing even a year ago. I held a presentation in Portuguese for the first time in my life! It was about my thesis project in general, so sure, a subject I am comfortable with… in English. It made me realise something I kind of had forgotten about.

And yes, the picture should say “you live a new life”.
